12-13-2005 - Colin helping Kinettic Speed Shop at Road Atlanta coaching event

Colin Braun coaching at Kinetic Speed Shop Two Day Coaching Event - Road Atlanta

Buford, Ga. - Kinetic Speed Shop entertained clients this week with high speed action at Road Atlanta, just miles away from Kinetic headquarters in Buford, Ga. Individuals with a passion for both Porsche and racing were treated to a double dose of the "science of speed" as Kinetic coaches guided clients through the finer points of high speed sports car racing.

The weather could not have been better in late December as temperatures topped out around 50 degrees with cloudless sunny skies. Each day of the event began with verbal instruction from the coaches followed by actual lessons in selected Porsches with guests in the passenger seats. Clients received hands on instruction behind the wheel while Kinetic coaches critiqued performance. Kinetic engineers were on hand for support as well.

Guests included, Jeff Swartz, Ray Williams, Mark LoPilato, Lee Davis, Paul Johnson and Craig Foster. Making an appearance was Kinetic driver Scott Campbell, recent winner of the Porsche Club of America event at Roebling Road. Among those attending and receiving instruction was Russell Smith Co-owner of Kinetic. Russell was coached by none other than business partner and world renowned driver Nic Jonsson. Joining Jonsson as coaches were Joe Foster and Andrew Davis. Johnsson's new Krohn Racing team partner Colin Braun was also in attendance.

"The weekend was very informative," Williams said. "Nic was an outstanding coach and having Andy and Joe there was a nice surprise especially with Andrew's knowledge of sequential shifting. The hospitality was everything you needed provided by a great staff. It was a great event with good comradery…top notch group of people." Davis, who currently has his own Porsche Carrera GT at the Kinetic shop undergoing some fine tuning, offered his own thoughts about the two days of instruction and driving.

"There was a great group of people here this week and everything was very fun and professional," commented Davis. "I learned a lot in an atmosphere that was not intimidating. With that said, we took things very seriously and safety was a top priority. I want to be a part of a fun learning environment so that I can improve my driving skills and this is the place to do it."

Kinetics will continue to schedule such events for current and new clients throughout the upcoming race season beginning with another event at Road Atlanta in early January.
