Grand American Promotional Event Kicks Off
Salt Lake City Event Weekend
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah Grand
American's inaugural appearance in Salt Lake City got off to a grand
start with a pair of fan- and media-friendly events on Monday and
Tuesday.
In
a colorful tune up for this weekend's nine-hour Discount Tire
Sunchaser at Miller Motorsports Park, the colorful team transporters
gathered across from the Delta Center to present many of the cars of
the Grand American series to fans in the area.
On Monday evening, from 5-7 p.m., people were invited to see the
cars, teams and transporters of several competitors up close. Four
radio stations did live radio remotes, the Miller Motorsports Park
girls made an appearance and 17-year-old Daytona Prototype driver
Colin Braun talked to fans and signed autographs.
For those who missed it, KUTV TV-2, the local CBS affiliate, went
live on it's 6 o'clock news and later featured the event on its
evening broadcast. Fox 13 was also on hand reporting for its
viewers.
