9-4-2006 - Jorg honors Colin at Grand Am banquet

Las Vegas NV - Tonight at the Mandalay Bay hotel and Casino the Grand Am Rolex series had the year ending banquet.  Colin was highlighted as one of 5 "Moments of the year", for winning at Daytona.  Tracy Krohn picked up the 2nd place team championship award and the award for the car that improved the most positions during the year for the #75 car. 

Jorg Bergemeister, Colin's co-driver was presented with he drivers championship award and had this to say on stage:

"I'm very honored to be up here with the championship in such a competitive series with so many great drivers," Bergmeister said. "I need to thank the team for all of their hard work, as well as my team owner, Tracy Krohn. I couldn't have done it without you. I'm sorry that (Bergmeister's co-driver for 11 of 14 races) Colin (Braun) can't be up here, but the good thing is that he's young and he'll get plenty of chances to win a championship. I also need to say thanks to all the drivers who filled-in when Colin couldn't drive: Max (Papis), Boris (Said), and Nic (Jönsson). All of you guys did a great job."
