7-3-2007 - Colin under pole time at Iowa in ARCA car

Newton IA - On the last day of a 2 day test with Roush Fenway racing, Colin turned a lap in a simulated qualifying run that would have put him on the pole for the recent ARCA race at the track.  After many laps running race distances and working on set up items with crew chief Jeff Campy and the RFR crew the team decided to "tape up" the car and do a qualifying run.  Colin's lap of 23.39 was almost 0.1 seconds better than the 23.47 run by Michael Annett on June 2nd.

Colin really liked his first run on a bigger track with average speed near 135 mph, saying the 7/8 mile high banked oval was fun, fast and challenging.  He really had fun learning a faster track and is looking forward to testing next on the 1.33 Nashville track with an average speed in the 160 mph range.  That is an open test with all the ARCA drivers on July 24th.
