2008 Raybestos Rookie of The Year - NASCAR Truck Series

Welcome to the web site for Colin Braun.  Colin is one of the rising stars in American Motorsports.  At 20 years old he has already won 2 professional car racing championships, and 3 rookie of the year awards.  He started racing at age 6 in Quarter Midgets, went kart racing at 8, and competed in Italy, Monaco, France, and Japan for factory kart teams all before he was 14.  Colin was part of the Team 16 squad and drove in the Rolex 24 hours of Daytona in a Porsche 996 GT3 Cup car.  At only 17 years 9 months, and 7 days old, Colin became the youngest driver in North America to win a major league motor race when he won the Brumos 250 at Daytona International Speedway driving for  Krohn Racing and Ford in the Grand Am Rolex Daytona Prototype series.  SPEED TV awarded Colin with the Rookie of The Year for all of motorsports in 2006.  He became the youngest driver in the history of the Le Mans 24 hours to place on the podium, when he finished 2nd in the 2007 race.  2 pole positions and 5th in the Rolex Daytona Prototype series drivers points in 2007 lead to a full time ride with Ford Racing and Roush Fenway Racing.  In 2008 Colin captured the Raybestos Rookie of The Year award in the NASCAR Truck series.  In 2009, Colin will be driving for Roush Fenway Racing and Ford Racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in the #6 truck with Con-way Freight sponsorship, as well as selected races in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
